There's nothing worse than living in a country where your favourite kind of music and lifestyle leaves you feeling like you're the only one in country who has heard of the Stray Cats, heard of Big Sandy And His Flyrite Boys or got excited when a chopped kustom car comes speeding past.

Well, we've decided to do something about it. No point sitting around whining about no rockabilly scene. We're about to make it happen.

Welcome to The 1st Rockabilly Riot...An evening of rockabilly, blues and hot rods.
It may not be Viva Las Vegas or Hootenanny but we're going to do our best to make it rock. So if you're into rockabilly and hot rods why not come on out to the show on the 18th of October, have a couple of drinks, enjoy the bands and find like-minded folk who's eyes light up when you mention Stray Cats!

MUSIC:
The title of the event says it all...Rockabilly Riot. If you have a love for Elvis, Johnny Cash, Stray Cats and the hundred of great artists and bands from back in the day till now then you don't want to miss this. For the first time ever, under one roof, you will be fortunate enough to catch two rockabilly bands and one amazing solo-blues-harmonica artists as well as new and classic rockabilly music being played all night long.

Martin Rocka And The Sick Shop are no strangers to the rockabilly/psychobilly world with two albums under their belt they know how to get the party started and will be sure to get your feet tapping.
Dave Ferguson is one of the most underated solo artists of South Africa. Armed with just an amp, harmonica and a couple of pedals this blues artist can out-do and out rock most 4-piece bands. It's something you have to see. Harmonica inspired blues at its best.
Reverend Wright And The Mystery Train Gamblers are the new comers to this event. Elvis and Johnny Cash inspired music with lyrics all about hot rods and rockabilly.

You don't want to miss this!

HOT RODS:
Thanks to the help from SA HotRods we could very well have a few hot rods and kustom built cars and their owners coming to the show, so watch how you park in the parking lot and enjoy the cars.
